Disable TFTP Firmware Upgrade
This setting defaults to the N (No) option. The Y (Yes) option disables the use of TFTP to
perform network firmware upgrades. With this option, you can download fir mware upgrades
over the serial port using DeviceInstaller’s Recover Firmware procedure . (See 10: Firmware
Upgrades.)
Disable TFTP Firmware Update (N) : _
Disable Port 77FE (Hex)
If you choose to disable this option, k eep in mind that disabling both the Telnet Setup and
Port 77FE will prevent users from accessing the setup menu from the networ k. Port 77FE is
a setting that allows DeviceInstaller, WebManager, and custom program s to configure the
unit remotely. You may wish to disable this capability for security purp oses.
Disable Port 77FEh(N) ?
Note: The default setting is the N (No) option, which enables remote configura tion. You can
configure the unit by using DeviceInstaller, web pages, Telnet, or serial configuration. The Y
(Yes) option disables remote configuration and web sites. The Y (Yes) opti on also disables
many of the GUI tools for configuring the unit, including the embedded W ebManager tool.
Disable Web Server
This setting defaults to the N (option). The Y (Yes) option disables the web s erver.
Disable Web Server (N) ? _
Disable Web Setup
The Y (Yes) option disables configuration using the Web-Manager. This settin g defaults to
the N (option).
Disable Web Setup (N) ? _
Disable ECHO Ports
This setting controls whether port 7 echoes characters it receives.
Disable ECHO ports (Y) ? _
Enable Encryption
Rijndael is the block cipher algorithm chosen by the National Institute of Science and
Technology (NIST) as the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) to be use d by the US
government. The Micro125 supports 128-, 192-, and 256-bit encryption key length s.
Note: Configuring encryption should be done through a local connection to the se rial port of
the Micro125, or via a secured network connection. Initial configuratio n information, including
the encryption key, is sent in clear text over the network.
