8. Setup Mode: Channel Configuration
This chapter explains how to configure the serial port. Two channels may be configured in
Micro125: Channel 1 and Channel 2.
Note: The directions for configuring Channel 1 provided below may also be used f or
Channel 2.

Channels

Select Channel 1 (option 1) from the Change Setup menu to define how the serial port
responds to network and serial communications. The following sections des cribe the
configurable parameters within the Channel configuration menu.

Baudrate

The unit and attached serial device, such as a modem, must agree on a s peed or baud rate
to use for the serial connection. Valid baud rates are 300, 600, 1200, 2 400, 4800, 9600
(default), 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200, and 230400 bits per second. T he cur rent va lue is
displayed in parentheses. Entering a baud rate of 00 in channel settings in a telnet sessions
disables the serial port.
