Programming the Remote Control to Operate Other Devices

The HD DVR remote control is a multi-brand universal remote control that can be programmed to operate most remote-controllable devices from other manufacturers.

programming, turn on the device such as a VCR and select the corre- sponding mode (VCR) using MODE on the remote control while pointing at the device. Use POWER and CH +/– buttons to see if the device responds properly. If not, the remote control mode needs to be pro- grammed to operate the device.
