Troubleshooting

Offers solutions to problems with the HD DVR.

1Press MENU to display the on-screen menu.

2Select the SETUP menu using 3 / 4 then press (SELECT) or 2.

Select Troubleshooting using 3 / 4 then press (SELECT)

3 or 2.

The troubleshooting options appear.

Select a troubleshooting option using 3 / 4 then press (SELECT)

4 or 2.

Moves to the next step in the Troubleshooting menu.

5 Press MENU to return to the previous menu or press EXIT on the remote control to return to TV viewing.

Options

Unable to receive TV signal.

Automatically finds all channels available through the antenna inputs (Refer to

 

page 28).

 

 

 

Invalid channel has been memorized.

You can erase channels from memory manually (Refer to page 28).

 

 

Signal is unstable in digital channel.

Shows the antenna signal strength bar. If the signal strength is weak, the picture

 

may freeze or appear incomplete (Refer to page 29).

 

 

Current time is not set.

The Clock menu appears on the TV screen, set the clock manually (Refer to

 

page 32).

 

 

HD DVR function does not work properly.

Shows the reason that the HD DVR function does not work properly.

 

 

There is a bad sector on the HDD.

Shows the defective ratio when a bad sector on the HDD is detected.

 

 

There is invalid info in program list.

The message for disk initialization appears. If you want to initialize, select “Yes”

 

and then all programs will be deleted.

 

 

 

Cannot select IEEE1394 Device, or device Shows a checklist for IEEE1394 device connection. is not shown on Device List.

DVHS is not working.

Shows the reason that DVHS does not work properly.

 

 

Cannot RECORD to DVHS.

Shows the reason that DVHS cannot record.

 

 

Cannot PLAY DVHS.

Shows the reason that DVHS cannot play.

 

 

Camcorder is not working.

Shows the reason that camcorder does not work properly.

 

 

Version Info.

Shows the current software version of the HD DVR.

Disk initialization deletes all program lists from the HDD, see 'Invalid info' above.
