This section descri be s how to set u p and u se the ca bles. The cables are availab le with a varie ty of conne ction

capabilities.

The following communication/charg e cables are available:

•

Serial (RS232) Charge cable (9-pin D female with power input re ceptacle)

•

USB Client Charge cable (standard-A connector and a barrel receptacle for power)

•

Auto charge cable

•

DEX cable

•

Modem inverter cable.

The following printer cables are available directly from the printer manufacturer:

•

O’Neil Printer cable

•

Zebra Printer cable .

Cables

Communication/charge cables:

•

Provide the EDA with opera ting and char ging powe r when used with the Symbol approve d power sup ply.

•

Synchronize information between the EDA and a host computer. With customized or third party sof tware,

it can also synchronize the EDA with corporate databases.

•

Provide serial connection through the serial pass-through port for communication with a serial device,

such as a host computer. For communication setup procedures, refer to the MC70 Integrator Guide.

•

Provide USB connection through the USB p ass-through por t for communication with a USB device , such

as a host computer. For communication setup procedure s, refer to the MC70 Integrator Guide.

Dedicated printer cables provide communication with a printer.
