Table 1-1 lists the accessories available for the MC70 EDA.

MC70 Accessories

Accessory Description

Snap-on Cables The EDA supports the following cables:

•

AC line cord (country-specific) and power supply, charges the EDA.

•

Auto charge cable, charges the EDA using a vehicle’s cigarette lighter.

•

DEX cable, connects the EDA to a vending machine.

•

Serial cable, adds serial communication capabilities.

•

USB cable, adds USB communication capabilities.

•

Modem inverter cable.

•

Printer cables, available for O’Neil and Zebra printers from printer

vendors.

Single Slot USB/Serial

Cradle Charges the EDA main battery an d a spare battery. Synchronizes the EDA with

a host computer through either a serial or a USB connection.

Four Slot Ethernet Cradle Charges the EDA main battery and co nnects the EDA with a n Ethernet network.

VCD7000 Vehicle Cradle Insta lls in a vehicle and charges the EDA main battery and a spare battery.

Provides serial data commu nication between an MC70 and an external device.

Four Slot Spare Battery

Charger Charges up to four EDA spare batteries. Includes an adapter.

Headset Use in noisy environments.

Belt Mounted Rigid

Holster Clips onto belt to ho ld the EDA when not in use.

Magnetic Stripe Reader

(MSR) Snaps on to the EDA and adds magstripe read capabilities.

Memory Card (MMC/SD) Provides secondary non-volatile storage.

Software Symbol Mobility Developer Kits (SMDKs), available at:

http://support.symbol.com.

S pare lithium-ion battery Replacement batteries: standard capacity 1900 mAh battery; extended capacity

3800 mAh battery.

Stylus Performs pen functions.

Trigger Handle Snap-on att achment adds a gun-style handle to the EDA.

Wall Mounting Kit Use for wall mounting the cradles.
