Test Print and Restore Button

The Wireless Print Server is fitted with a Restore button. This button has two functions: Prints a test page containing all current settings (if your printer supports this) Restores the factory default settings

To generate a diagnostic test page:

Note: PostScript printers are unable to print this page. If you have a PostScript printer attached, the test page will not be printed. Use a non-PostScript printer instead. Also, printers that only use GDI printer language cannot print a diagnostic page.

1Ensure that both the WPS870G and the attached printer are powered.

2Press and release the Restore button. A test page prints containing the current settings.

To restore the factory default settings:

1Press and hold the Restore button for 5 seconds.

2After 5 seconds the WPS870G returns to its factory default settings:

Returns the login password to its factory default value of “motorola”

Sets the IP address assignment to dynamic (use DHCP server)

Obtains an IP address
