Installation Wizard Setup Procedure

The Windows-based Installation Wizard supplied on the CD-ROM, runs on Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. Using this Installation Wizard is the recommended method to configure the Print Server.

Installation Notes

The screenshots seen here may differ slightly, depending upon your version of the Installation Wizard. However, the functionality is the same.

If using Windows XP, you may have to temporarily disable your built-in firewall so that the Installation Wizard can operate successfully. Follow the directions here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/home/using/howto/homenet/icf.asp

To configure your WPS870G using the supplied CD-ROM:

1Insert the CD-ROM in your computer’s CD-ROM drive. The set up wizard starts automatically.1

2Click Install and Configure the Wireless Print Server.

3The Connect your Print Server to Your Router window is displayed. Follow the instructions and click Next.

4When asked for a password, type ‘motorola’.

1Note: If the Windows set up wizard does not start automatically, do the following: Click Start, then Run. On the next screen, click Browse and locate your CD-ROM drive. Locate SetupWizard.exe and highlight it. Click Open, then OK. The set up wizard starts.
