Hardware and LAN Solutions

All of the Wireless Print Server's LEDs are off.

Check the power supply or power connection.

The Wireless Print Server unit cannot be found on the LAN, so configuration is not possible. If using the Wireless Interface to access:

Temporarily disable WEP on your other Wireless stations.

If using "Ad-Hoc" mode, it is not possible for Wireless stations to connect to the Wireless Print Server, because its default mode is "Infrastructure". You must use the wired interface for initial configuration.

If using "Infrastructure" mode, verify that the SSID of the WPS870G matches your Access Point’s SSID.

The Access Point itself has a blank (null) SSID.

If there is a setting "Broadcast SSID" or "Allow SSID of ANY", this setting should be enabled.

If using the Wired 10/100BaseT interface to access:

Check the Hub/Router/Switch. The link LED for the port to which the Wireless Print Server is connected should be On. If it is Off, there may be a problem in the network cable.

On the Wireless Print Server, check the LAN LED. If the LED is not On, the network connection is not working.

If using TCP/IP:

Ensure that there are no routers between the Wireless Print Server and the computer used for configuration.
