Gatekeeper – Endpoints
When an endpoint registers with the gatekeeper, the endpoint is activated. That is, it becomes an acknowledged participant on the network (or on a particular zone of a network). Registration tells the gatekeeper that the endpoint is active and ready to receive calls. An endpoint’s registration can be static (essentially permanent) or dynamic (timed or conditional).
