Chapter 2Introduction

This chapter lists the package contents for the RangeMax NEXT Wireless Router WNR834M,

describes the front and rear panel layouts, and describes your NETGEAR maintenance and support

benefits.

Package Contents

The product package should contain the following items:

• RangeMax NEXT Wireless Router WNR834M.

•AC power adapter.

• Category 5 (CAT5) Ethernet cable.

•Resource CD, including:

— Smart WizardTM installation assistant

— The Setup Manual

— This guide.

• Registration and Warranty Card.

• Support Information Card.

If any of the parts are incorrect, missing, or damaged, contact your NETGEAR dealer. Keep the

carton, including the original packing materials, in case you need to return the router for repair.

The Wireless Router Label

View the label on the back of the wireless router to identify the serial number, port connectors,

status lights, and default login information.
