Locking and Unlocking

When you lock a message, it cannot be deleted until you unlock it.

Highlight or view a message and press / > LockMessage or UnlockMessage.

Calling a Number in a Message

If any field in a message contains a phone number, Direct Connect number, or Talkgroup ID, you can call or send a Call Alert to that number.

1.View the message.

2.Highlight a number and press , to make a phone call or press the DC button to make a Direct Connect call.

1.View the message.

2.Highlight a Direct Connect number and then press press / > Alert.

3.Press the DC button.

TomakeaTalkgroupcalltoaTalkgroupIDinamessage:

1.View the message.

2.Highlight a Talkgroup ID and then press / > Talkgroup.

3.Press the DC button.

Storing Message Information to Contacts

If a message you receive contains a phone number, Direct Connect number, Talkgroup ID, or an email address in any of the fields, you can store this information to Contacts.

1.View the message.

2.Highlight a number or email address and then press / > SaveNumber or SaveEmail.

3.Select [NewContact] to store the number in a new entry, or select an entry to store the information to an existing entry.

4.With the Contacts type field highlighted, scroll left or right to display a Contacts type for the number or email address.
