Shooting Suited for the Scene

Shooting in the Scene Selected by the Camera (Scene Auto Selector)

By simply framing a picture, the camera automatically selects the optimum scene mode for simpler shooting. When the camera is aimed at a subject in xscene auto selector mode, the camera automatically selects one of the following scene modes.

Auto mode (typical photography)

Portrait (A45)

Landscape (A46)

Night portrait (A47)

Night landscape (A49)

Close-up (A49)

Backlight (A51)

1 Rotate the mode dial to x.

Scene auto selector will be enabled.

If the built-in flash is not raised, the

message The flash is lowered. will be displayed.

Press the m(flash pop-up) button to raise

2 Frame the subject and take the picture.

Press the shutter-release button halfway to set focus and exposure. When the subject is in focus, the focus area (active focus area) glows green.

Press the shutter-release button the rest of the way down to take the picture.
