Sequential File Numbering

When sequential file numbering is in effect, file and folder numbers will continue to be assigned sequentially in ascending order from the last number used whenever you create a new folder, insert a new memory card in the camera, or format the existing memory card. For more information on sequential file numbering, see Cus- tom Setting 29, File Number Sequence ( pg. 179).

ADVANCED

To choose a file-numbering option, highlight File No. Seq. in the shooting menu and press the multi selector to the right. The menu shown at right will be displayed. Highlight the desired setting and press the multi selector to the right to return to the shooting menu.

The following options are available:

Option	Description
OFF	Continuous sequential file numbering off.
ON	Continuous sequential file numbering on.
Reset	Sequential numbering begins again from the lowest number
	available in the current folder.
