Custom Setting 28: NEF(RAW) Image Save

This item determines whether the RAW image format is avail- able at an image quality setting of High, and whether RAW- format images will be compressed. Note that Nikon Capture 3 or Nikon View 5 or later is required when viewing RAW images on a computer.

OFF		High-quality images can only be saved in TIFF for-
		mat.
Uncompressed		RAW images are saved without compression.
(default)
		RAW images are compressed using a “lossless” al-
Compressed		gorithm that reduces file size from around fifty to
		sixty percent without affecting image quality.
