Turning the Camera Off

Do not remove the memory card from the camera while images are being transferred from the buffer to the card (if the buffer contains forty photographs, at least 55 seconds will be required). Failure to observe this precaution could result in loss of data or in damage to the camera or the card. If power switch is turned to the off position while data remain in the buffer, the camera will turn off once the image that is currently being written to the card has been saved. Any other images remaining in the buffer will be lost. If the battery is exhausted while photo- graphs are being shot in continuous mode, the shutter release will be disabled and all photo- graphs in the buffer will be recorded to the memory card.
