Configuring your MCC 3100 for Windows Mobile

Parameter	Description
Primary Server	Enter the IP address or fully qualified domain name
IP/Host	of the primary Mobile Communication Gateway
	3100 (MCG 3100) external network interface.
	Format: <IP address FQDN>
	Note: Do not enter a complete URL.
Primary Server	Enter the port number used for client connections
Port	on the primary MCG 3100 external network
	interface. The port number varies depending on the
	connection type. For example, an HTTPS
	connection typically requires 8443 while an HTTP
	connection requires 8080.
Connection	Specify the connection type that the MCC 3100
Type - use	uses when it communications with the MCG 3100.
secure	• To use a secure HTTPS connection, select the
connection
	check box.
	• To use a regular HTTP connection, clear the
	check box.
	Note: If you are using an HTTPS connection,
	your system administrator may instruct you to
	install a security certificate on the device using
	Microsoft ActiveSync.
