1Ready the camera.
• Hold the camera steadily in both hands, keeping your fingers and other objects away from the lens, flash, AF- assist illuminator, microphone, and speaker.
•When taking pictures in “tall” orientation, turn the
camera so that the

• When the camera detects a face, that face will be |

framed by a yellow double border (default setting). |

• Up to 12 faces can be detected. When the camera |
| |
detects more than one face, the face closest to the |
| |
camera is framed by a double border AF area, and faces | 11 | |
outside the AF area are framed by single borders. | ||
|
•AF area will not appear when shooting pictures of subjects other than people, or framing a subject with which no face is recognized. Position the main subject near the center of the monitor.
