Step 2 Frame a Picture

Mode Auto Playback: and Photography Basic

1Ready the camera.

Hold the camera steadily in both hands, keeping your fingers and other objects away from the lens, flash, AF- assist illuminator, microphone, and speaker.

When taking pictures in “tall” orientation, turn the

camera so that the built-in flash is above the lens.

2 Frame the picture.

When the camera detects a face, that face will be

framed by a yellow double border (default setting).

Up to 12 faces can be detected. When the camera

detects more than one face, the face closest to the

camera is framed by a double border AF area, and faces

11

outside the AF area are framed by single borders.

AF area will not appear when shooting pictures of subjects other than people, or framing a subject with which no face is recognized. Position the main subject near the center of the monitor.
