Replacing the Lamp Cartridge
The lamp that is used as a light source in the projector has a limited service life.The rated service life of the lamp is about 1000 hours.This could be shortened depending on conditions of use and other factors.
When the lamp timer exceeds a usage time of 1000 hours, the STATUS indicator lights and the lamp timer display appears on the screen. When usage time exceeds 1100 hours, the lamp will cease to light. Should this occur, it is time to replace the lamp cartridge.
CAUTION•To replace the lamp cartridge, first switch off the power, check that the POWER indicator has changed to a steady amber, then unplug the power plug from the outlet and let the projector stand for approximately 60 minutes before making the replacement.
Due to the high temperature, replacement of the lamp cartridge during operation or immedi- ately after stopping the projector may cause burns.
•To prevent a dangerous situation, please perform the replacement work at a position that is lower than the face.
In the event of the lamp cartridge bursting, working at a position that is above face level could result in glass fragments or other substances entering the eyes or elsewhere causing injury.
