Making calls using a calling code
When dialling manually:
1Press and hold {*}.
LThe calling code you stored will be displayed.
2Dial the phone number manually.
3{TEL}
LYou can also make a call by pressing ]. The line set for line selection mode
is automatically selected (page 29).
When dialling from the redial list, phonebook, or caller list:
1Display the desired phone number in the redial list (page 32), phonebook (page
40), or caller list (page 45).
2Press and hold {*}.
LThe calling code you stored will be displayed before the phone number.

Changing the base unit PIN (Personal Identification Number) N
Important:
LIf you change the PIN, please make note of your new PIN. The unit will not reveal
the PIN to you. If you forget your PIN, see page 91.

2Enter the current 4-digit base unit PIN (default: 0000).
3Enter the new 4-digit base unit PIN.

Changing the handset name N
Each handset can be given a customised name (“Bob”, “Kitchen”, etc.). This is useful
when you make intercom calls between handsets. You can also select whether or not
the handset name is displayed in standby mode. The default setting is Off. If you
select On without entering any handset name, Handset 1 to Handset 6 is
displayed.
