Remote commands
You can press dial keys to access
certain answering system functions
without waiting for the voice guidance to
prompt you.
Turning on the answering system remotely
If the answering system is off, you can
turn it on remotely by calling the selected
line in “Turning the answering system on
f”, page 60.
1Dial the phone number from a touch
tone phone.
2Let the phone ring 20 times.
LA long beep will be heard.
3Enter your remote access code
within 10 seconds after the long
beep.
LThe unit answers your call with
the greeting message.
LYou can hang up, or enter your
remote code again and begin
remote operation (page 64).
Skipping the greeting message to leave a message
You can leave a message just as any
outside caller can. Call your phone
number. When the answering system
picks up, press {*} to skip the greeting
message and record your message after
the beep.
