2 Opening the Display
AHold the side of the computer with either of your hands and then hold and lift the (A) part to open the display.
CAUTION
Do not open the display wider than necessary (130° or more), and do not apply excessive pressure to the LCD. Do not open or close the computer holding the edge of the LCD segment.
3 Connect your computer to a power outlet.

Handling the AC adaptor
Problems such as sudden voltage drops may arise during periods of thunder and lightning. Since this could adversely affect your computer, an uninter- ruptible power source (UPS) is highly recommended unless running from the battery pack alone.

4 Turn on the computer.
ASlide and hold the power switch for approximately 1 second until the power indicator lights.
When the power is turned on, the power indicator lights. But, in the fol- lowing cases, the power indicator may turn off once immediately after the power is turned on.

CAUTION
Do not slide the power switch repeatedly.
The computer will forcibly be turned off if you slide and hold the power switch for 4 seconds or longer.
Once you turn off the computer, wait for 10 seconds or more before you turn on the computer again.
