Some applications may not work properly
When switching to a different user with the Fast User Switching function, the follow ing problems may occur:
• Some a pplications may not work properly.
• Key com bination with the
Fn
may not work.
• It may not be possible to set the settings of the display.
• Person al Secure Drive function of Security Platform (TPM) may not work (only for models tha t supports TPM).
• The wir eless LAN cannot be used. (only for models with wireless LAN)
In this case, log off all users without using Fast User Switching function, and try the operation o nce more. If the problem
persists, restart the computer.
Some software applications installed after the time of purchase are not compatible with opera ting system. Refer to
application software manufacturer homepage or other sources.
While you are using motion video playback software, benchmark software for gr aphic, etc., if error screen is displayed or
application software does not function normally, set [Display power saving function] to [Disabl ed] in [Extension setting -
Edit] of [Power Plan Extension Utility].
No response
Is there an input screen (e.g., password input screen at startup) hidden behind anothe r window? Use the
Alt

Tab
to
check for other windows being displayed.

Shift
+
Esc
to open Task Manager and close the software application which is not responding.
After sliding the power switch for at least four seconds to turn off the computer, turn on again.
If Windows runs correctly, but the application software does not start, following procedure:
Click (Start) - [Control Panel] - [Uninstall a program] and remove the failing application software, then reins tall the
application software.
click [start] - [Control Panel] - [Add or Remove Programs] and remove the failing application software, then reinstall the
application software.
Cannot play movies with the Windows® Media Player
When you try to play a movie, is [Codec required] displayed?
Some video files use a Codec that is not installed as a standard. In these instanc es, if you play back the video file after
connecting to the Internet, the Codec may be downloaded automatically, allowing you to pla y back the file.
