•When you turn the camera off, carry the
camera or play back the pictures, attach
the lens cap to protect the surface of the
lens.
•Detach the lens cap before turning on the
camera in the recording mode.
•If you turn the camera on and then rotate
the zoom lever when the lens cap is
attached, the message [REMOVE THE
LENS CAP AND TURN THE CAMERA
ON AGAIN] appears. Detach the lens cap
and turn the camera off and on.
•Be caref ul not to lose the lens cap.
•Check that the strap is properly attached.
•When detaching the strap, use a pointed
object to loosen the knot and then detach
it.
•When using the lens cap and the strap at
the same time, attach the strap before the
lens cap. If you attach the lens cap first, it
may become difficult to attach the strap.
Setting Date/Time (Clock Set)
∫Initial setting
The clock is not set so the following screen
appears when you turn the camera on.
A: [MENU/SET] button
B: C ursor buttons
•The screen disappears after about
5 seconds. Turn the camera off and on
again.

1Press [MENU/SET] while the

above screen is displayed.

2Press 3 4 2 1 to select the

date and time.

A: T ime at the home area
B: T ime at the travel destination (P61)
•2/1: Se lect the desired item.
•3/4: Set the display order for the date
and time.
