When you select a scene mode to match the subject and recording situation, the camera sets the optimal exposure and hue to obtain the desired picture.

•Two frequently used scenes can be set to

the mode dials [ ] and [ ].Refer to P51 to 58 for each scene menu.

1 Press 3/4 to select the scene mode.

•Press 4 at A to switch to the next menu screen.

•If [SCENE MODE] menu does not appear, press [MENU/SET] to display the [SCENE MODE] menu.

•When you press 1, explanations about each scene mode are displayed. (When you press 2, the screen returns to the [SCENE MODE] menu.)

∫About the menu screen items

•There are 6 menu screens (1/6, 2/6, 3/6, 4/6, 5/6 and 6/6).

•You can switch menu screens from any menu item by rotating the zoom lever.

1Set [SCENE MENU] in the [SETUP] menu to [OFF]. (P24)

2Press 3/4 to select the scene mode

and then press [MENU/SET].

• When the mode dial is set to [ ] or [ ], the selected scene mode is activated and the [SCENE MODE] menu is not displayed. This is convenient as you do not need to select the scene mode in the [SCENE MODE] menu every time you take pictures.
