[Flash Synchro]

Applicable modes:

2nd curtain synchro activates the flash just before the shutter closes when taking pictures of moving objects such as cars using a slow shutter speed.

Settings	Description of settings
	1st curtain synchro
[1ST]	The normal method when taking pictures with the flash.
	2nd curtain synchro
[2ND]	The light source appears behind the subject and picture
	becomes dynamic.

Note

•Set it to [1ST] for normal use.

•[2nd] is displayed in the flash icon on the screen if you set [Flash Synchro] to [2ND].

•The flash sync. settings are also effective when using an external flash. (P206)

•When a fast shutter speed is set, the effect of [Flash Synchro] may deteriorate.

•You cannot set [ ] or [ ] when [Flash Synchro] is set to [2ND].

[Flash Adjust.]

Applicable modes:

Adjust the flash output if the recorded pictures are too bright or too dark.

Note

•You can adjust from [j2 EV] to [i2 EV] in steps of [1/3 EV].

•Select [0 EV] to return to the original flash output.

•[i] or [j] is displayed on the flash icon in the screen when the flash level is adjusted.
