≥If the TV input does not switch automatically, switch the
input using the TV remote control.
≥Check the VIERALink setting on the connected device.
≥Please refer to the operating instructions of the
connected device.
The power of the DVD
burner cannot be turned
on.
≥When the unit is connected to the DVD burner, use the
respective AC adaptors for both this unit and the DVD
burner.
Cannot copy scenes on
the SD card by connecting
to other equipment with
the USB cable.
≥Other equipment might have not recognized the SD card.
Unplug the USB cable once, and reconnect it.
With a PC

USB cable, this unit is
not detected by the PC.
≥After re-inserting the SD card into the unit, reconnect the
supplied USB cable.
≥Select another USB terminal on the PC.

≥Connect the supplied USB cable again after restarting the
PC and turning on this unit again.
When the USB cable is
disconnected, an error
message will appear on
the PC.
≥To disconnect the USB cable s afely, double-click the
icon in the task tray and follow the instructions on the
screen.
Cannot see the PDF
operating instructions
for HD Writer AE 3.0.
≥You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader5.0 or later or
Adobe Reader7.0 or later to read the PDF operating
instructions for HD Writer AE 3.0.
Cannot import AVCHD
scenes with iMovie’11.
≥You may not be able to import AVCHD scenes with
iMovie’11 when both AVCHD scenes and iFrame scenes
are recorded on a media (an SD card, built-in memory or
HDD). In such a case, first copy all the iFrame scenes
data to iMovie’11, delete all the iFrame scenes data on
the media, and then import the AVCHD scenes with
iMovie’11.
