Setting the printer emulation
Follow this procedure to set the printer emulation. You can select either Epson LQ or BJ emulation. The factory preset setting is LQ emulation.

Make sure the printer mode is turned off.
Press (MENU) until the following is displayed.
PRINTER SET UP
Press (START/SET).
EMU.MODE=LQ[ÿŸ]
Press (‹) or (›) to select LQ or BJ.
Press (START/SET).
Press (MENU).

Customizing settings in each emulation mode
Each emulation mode has a number of settings that you can modify to fit your own particular needs when printing documents from your computer. For example, you can change the paper size setting, printer character sets, typefaces, etc.
