Error messages

If the unit detects a problem, one of the following messages is shown on the display.

Display message	Cause/solution
Busy	L The called unit is in use.
or	L Other units are in use and the system is busy.
	Try again later.
System busy. Try again	L The handset you are using is too far from the
	base unit. Move closer and try again.
later.	L The handset’s registration may have been
	canceled. Re-register the handset (page 26).
Check tel line	L The supplied telephone line cord has not been
	connected yet or not connected properly.
	Check the connections (page 9).
Use rechargeable	L A wrong type of battery such as Alkaline or
battery.	Manganese was inserted. Use only the
	rechargeable Ni-MH batteries noted on page
	5, 7.
Error!!	L The handset’s registration has failed. Move
	the handset and base unit away from all
	electrical appliances and try again.
Invalid	L There is no handset registered to the base
	unit matching the handset number you
	entered.
	L The handset is not registered to the base unit.
	Register the handset (page 26).
No link. Reconnect base	L The handset has lost communication with the
AC adaptor.	base unit. Move closer to the base unit and try
	again.
	L Unplug the base unit’s AC adaptor to reset the
	unit. Reconnect the adaptor and try again.
	L The handset’s registration may have been
	canceled. Re-register the handset (page 26).
Requires subscription	L You must subscribe to a Caller ID service.
to Caller ID.	Once you receive caller information after
	subscribing to a Caller ID service, this
	message will not be displayed.
Store V.M. no.	L You have not stored the voice mail access
	number. Store the number (page 37).
