Night mode

Night mode allows you to select a span of time
during which the unit will not ring for outside calls.
This feature is useful for those occasions when
you do not want to be disturbed, for example, while
sleeping. Night mode can be set independently for
each base unit and handset.
Important:
LSet the date and time beforehand (page 17).
LIf you have set the alarm, the alarm sounds even
if the night mode is turned on.
Setting the start and end time
1{MENU} i {#}{2}{3}{7}
2Enter the desired hour and minute you wish to
start this feature.
3Press {*} to select AM or PM. i {OK}
4Enter the desired hour and minute you wish to
end this feature.
5Press {*} to select AM or PM. i {OK}
6Proceed with the operation for your unit.
Base unit: {} (EXIT)
Handset: {OFF}
Note:
LTo correct a digit:
Base unit: Press {7} or {8} to move the
cursor to the digit, then make the correction.
Handset: Press {<} or {>} to move the cursor
to the digit, then make the correction.
Turning night mode on/off

2{V}/{^}: Select On or Off. i {SAVE}
3Proceed with the operation for your unit.
Base unit: {} (EXIT)
Handset: {OFF}
Note:
LWhen the night mode is turned on, 3 is
displayed.

Alarm

An alarm sounds at the set time for 3 minutes once
or daily. Alarm can be set for each handset.
Important:
LSet the date and time beforehand (page 17).

3Set the desired time. i {OK}
4{V}/{^}: Select the desired ringer tone. i
{SELECT}
LWe recommend selecting a ringer tone
different from the ringer tone set for outside
calls.
5{V}/{^}: Save i {SELECT} i {OFF}
LWhen the alarm is set, E is displayed.
Note:
LTo stop the alarm, press any dial key or place
the handset on the charger.
LWhen the handset is in use, the alarm will not
sound until the handset is in standby mode.
LIf you select Once, the setting changes to
Off after the alarm sounds.
LThe ringer volume for alarm follows the higher
volume level of the 2 lines (page 29).
LWhen the ringer volume for outside calls of the 2
lines is set to off (page 29), the alarm sound is
heard at a low level.
