10 Configure the basic settings of the camera [Basic]

H.264 recording

This setting is available only when “H.264(1)” or “H.264(2)” is selected for “Recording format” of the SD memory card.

When the [Set] button is clicked after selecting “H.264(1)” or “H.264(2)” in “Recording format”, “H.264 recording” is displayed on the lower part of the screen.

Select the image capture size from the following.

When “2 mega pixel [16:9]” is selected for “Image capture mode”

H.264(1): 1920x1080/640x360/320x180

H.264(2): 640x360/320x180

When “1.3 mega pixel [16:9]” is selected for “Image capture mode” 1280x720*1/640x360/320x180

When “1.3 mega pixel [4:3]” is selected for “Image capture mode” 1280x960*1/VGA/QVGA

When “3 mega pixel [4:3]” is selected for “Image capture mode” 1280x960 fix

[Recording priority]

From the following, select a recording priority for H.264 images to be recorded.

Constant bit rate: H.264 images will be recorded with the bit rate selected for “Max bit rate”.

Frame rate: H.264 images will be recorded with the frame rate selected for “Frame rate*”.

Advanced VBR: H.264 images will be recorded with the frame rate selected for “Frame rate*”. Images are recorded so that the average transmission rate during the period specified for “Control time period” becomes the bit rate selected for “Max bit rate”.

Default: Frame rate

[Frame rate*]

Select the frame rate for images to be recorded from the following. 1fps/ 3fps/ 5fps*/ 7.5fps*/ 10fps*/ 12fps*/ 15fps*/ 20fps*/ 30fps*

Default: 30fps*

Note

When “Frame rate” or “Advanced VBR” is selected for “Recording priority”, this setting is available.

“Frame rate*” is restricted by “Max bit rate”. For this reason, the frame rate may be lower than the specified value when any value marked with an asterisk (*) is selected.

[Control time period]

Select the time period that the bit rate of images to be recorded will be controlled for from the following. Images are recorded so that the average bit rate during the selected period becomes the bit rate selected for “Max bit rate”.

1h/6h/24h/1week Default: 24h

Note

This setting is only available when “Advanced VBR” is selected for “Recording priority”.

[Max bit rate]

Select the bit rate for images to be recorded from the following.

64kbps/ 128kbps/ 256kbps/ 384kbps/ 512kbps/ 768kbps/ 1024kbps/ 1536kbps/ 2048kbps

Default:

H.264(1): 2048kbps

H.264(2): 1536kbps

Panasonic has made significant strides in the surveillance camera industry with its WV-SF538E, WV-SF549E, WV-SP508, WV-SF538, and WV-SW558 models. These cameras cater to various security needs, offering cutting-edge technology and robust features that enhance surveillance capabilities across diverse environments.

The WV-SF538E and WV-SF549E are part of Panasonic's acclaimed i-PRO series, designed for superior image quality and reliability. Both models boast a 1080p Full HD resolution, ensuring clear and detailed imagery even in challenging lighting conditions. With their advanced Intelligent Auto technology, these cameras automatically adjust settings such as focus, exposure, and white balance, optimizing the video feed in real-time for enhanced visibility.

Another notable aspect of these models is their Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) feature, which enables the cameras to handle scenes with both bright and dark areas. This is particularly beneficial for environments with contrasting lighting conditions, such as entrances or parking lots. Additionally, they are equipped with a 20x optical zoom lens, allowing operators to zoom in on subjects without losing image quality, thereby providing flexibility in surveillance.

The WV-SP508, a PTZ camera, takes this flexibility a step further with its pan and tilt capabilities. This model is particularly well-suited for large areas, allowing operators to monitor extensive spaces with ease. Its high sensitivity in low light ensures that the camera delivers quality imaging even after sunset, maintaining security around the clock.

On the other hand, the WV-SF538 and WV-SW558 are compact dome cameras that combine aesthetics with performance. The WV-SW558 features a weather-resistant design, making it ideal for outdoor use. Both models offer enhanced security features like Motion Detection and Face Detection, aiding in proactive surveillance and incident detection.

All these models are integrated with advanced video analytics and can be easily connected to a network, allowing for remote monitoring and management. The cameras support various compression formats, including H.265, which enables efficient storage and bandwidth savings.

Overall, Panasonic's WV-SF538E, WV-SF549E, WV-SP508, WV-SF538, and WV-SW558 cameras present a formidable combination of performance, reliability, and advanced technology. These models are designed to meet the demanding needs of modern surveillance, providing users with high-quality images and proactive security solutions.
