ENCRYPTION

When you will want to encrypt any files, select ‘Encrypt files placed on storage cards’ check box. You can save encrypted files which are placed on a storage card. Such files are readable only by this Windows Mobile- based device.

CHANGING MASTER CLEAR PASSWORD

1On the home screen, press the Start > All Programs > More.

2Select Settings > Security > Change Master Clear Password.

3Enter the current password in the Old password field, then a new password in the New password field, and re-enter the new password in the Confirm new password field.

4Press the Done.

`NOTE

To ensure the operation, the SIM card should be inserted while Device-Lock is unlocked.

MASTER CLEAR

When you have purchased your phone, all the settings are pre- configured and installed. Any time you can return your phone to the factory default settings.

1On the home screen, press the Start > All Programs > More. 2Select Settings > [O].

3Scroll to Security > [O].

4Select Master Clear > [O].

5The password would be asked if the device has no SIM. The default value is 0000.

`NOTE

Master Clear erases all user data and initializes all settings to the factory default mode.
