#1. HDD#1.1. Fundamental notions & terms
eDVR storing constructure (VFS2)
eDVR series has a peculiar storing constructure, and its features are as follows.
(1) It is p ossible to connect 2 sets of HDD internally (Internal, ATA Interface) and 63 sets of HDD
externally (External, 2 ports of IEEE1394 / External, 2 ports of eSATA/ Storage Network).
(2) All of the connected HDD s are recognized as one virtual disk, and eDVR supports upto 8TB.

Log Partition To store the information of recorded data
Normal Partition To store the data as normal recording schedule
Backup
(1) Ba ckup is possible only through (IEEE1394 port, eSATA, Storage Network) and HDD for backup
should be formatted as FAT32type. (Its type is indicated as [F] in Dis k Manager.)
Disk Manager
(1) When HDD is adde d or deleted physically,Disk Manager runs automaticall yafter rebo oting.I f not,
you can run “Disk Manager” manually with moving “MenuUtilityDisk Manager”.
