5 Turn the camera on.

• It is recommended to use the optional AC adapter kit K-AC117 if you intend to use the camera for a long time (p.37).

•Depending on the country or region, images and sound files may fail to be played back if the video output format is set differently from the one in use there. If this happens, change the video output format setting (p.200).

•The camera display turns off and the volume cannot be adjusted with the zoom lever while the camera is connected to AV equipment.

•When the camera is connected to an AV device, you can change the images with the remote control (optional).

When connecting to and playing back images on AV equipment, image data is output at normal screen resolution. To view movies recorded at M (1280×720, 30 fps) and F(1280×720, 15 fps) in HDTV, transfer the data to a computer and play it back on the computer (p.209).
