For each exposure mode, you can set the functions for when the front/rear e-dial or the button is operated. Set in [E-Dial Programming] of the [ARec. Mode 5] menu. (p.247) You can confirm the functions of the front and rear e-dials and the button by viewing the guides which appear on the monitor when the camera is switched on or the mode dial is turned. (p.25)
