Playing a pre-recorded cassette

aPuta cassette into the cassette slot (seeillustration). The
cassettewill be pulled in automatically.
bPressthe button PLAYGto play the cassette. The
screendisplays for example:
0:00:00
cTostop, press the STOPhbutton.
dToeject the cassette, press ?onthe front of the
TV-VideoCombi while it is in Stop mode.
Youmay also use the STOPhbutton on the remote
controlfor more than 3 seconds.
DBeforetransportation, make sure that there is no
cassettein the TV-Video Combi.
DIncase of colour problems during the use of special
functions(e.g.: still picture, picture search…) the
colouris automatically switched off.
DSomehired cassettes may have poor picture or
soundquality. This is not a fault in your machine.
Pleaseread ’Eliminating picture interference
(Tracking)’.
DSomefunctions will automatically switch off aftera
while(e.g.: pause, still picture, picture search). This
helpsto protect the cassette and avoids wasting
power.
DDuringplayback, the machine will automatically
switchbetween the speeds ’LP/SP’. Please read the
section’Selecting the recording speed (SP/LP)’in
thechapter ’MANUAL RECORDING’.

Playing NTSC cassettes

Withthis TV-Video Combi you can playback cassettes that
havebeen recorded in NTSC standard on other video
recorders(e.g. American cassettes).
DDuringNTSC playback, ’NTSC’ will briefly appear on
thescreen.
DSomespecial functions (e.g.: still picture) are not
possibleduring NTSC playback.

Tape position indication

Bypressing OK youcan show the present tape position on
theTV screen. You can read the elapsed playing time in hours,
minutesand seconds.
DIfyou want to set the counter to ’0:00:00’, press
the CLEAR(CL) button.
DWhenyou put a new cassette into the machine, the
counterwill automatically reset to ’0:00:00’.
DIfyou rewind a cassette from theposition
’0:00:00’,the counter will show: ’-0:01:20’
(rewound1 minute 20 seconds from the ’0:00:00’
position).
DIfthere is an empty space on the tape, the counter
willstop.

Searching for tape position with the picture

(picture search)

aWhilea cassette is playing, press the H(reverse)or
I(forward)button once or several times. The screen
displaysfor example:
0:01:20
bTostop at the desired position, press the PLAYG
button.
DThepicture quality is lessened during picture
search.The sound is deactivated.
