Protecting your recordings
Sothat you don’t accidentally delete animportant recording,
removethe special tab on the narrow side of the cassette with
ascrewdriver or slide the special tab to the left. Later, if you
nolonger want to protect your recording, you can seal the gap
againwith sticky tape or slide the special tab to the right.
Auto-assembling
Youcan use the auto-assembling function to join individual
recordingswithout any flickering between them.
aWhilethe cassette is playing, search for the next
recording’sposition on the tape.
bPressthe STOPhbutton on the remote control. ’s
appearson the TV screen.
cNowstart recording as usual by pressing the
RECORDnbutton on the remote control.
dStoprecording with the STOPhbutton.
Selecting the recording speed (SP/LP)
Youcan reduce the recording speed by half. This makes it
possibleto record, for example, eight-hours instead of
four-hourson an ’E240’ (four-hour) cassette.
aPressthe MENUbutton on the remote control. The main
menuwill appear.
bSelectthe line ’SPECIAL SETTINGS’ with the buttons
=Pror ;Pqandconfirm with the SqP
button.
cChoosethe desired recording speed in the line ’RECORD
SPEED’using the buttons QSr or SqP .
DLP:LongPlay= half recording speed (double
recordingperiod).
SP:StandardPlay= normal recording speed.
dConfirmwith the OK button.
eToend, press the MENUbutton.
DThepicture quality with LP recordings will not be as
goodas it is with SP recordings.
DForplayback, the correct speed will automatically
beselected.
