Parental control (Child lock)

Thisfunction protects your TV-Video Combi from unwanted
use.All button functions on the front of the machine are
blocked.
DProgrammedrecordings will still be recorded (in
spiteof the parental control) and cannot be
interrupted.
aPleasemake sure the TELETEXT decoder is switched off
usingthe button TELETEXTe.
bPressthe ubutton on the remote control for approx. 5
seconds.
Thestandby lamp (STANDBY 5) on the front of the machine
blinksfor approx. 3 seconds to confirm this action.
Keepthe remote control in a safe place.
cIfyou want to switch the parental control function off,
pressthe ubutton on the remote control for approx. 5
seconds.
Thestandby lamp (STANDBY 5) on the front of the machine
blinksfor approx. 3 seconds to confirm this action.
DIfa button at the front of the machine is pressed
whileparental control is active, ’CHILD LOCK
ACTIVE’will appear on the screen for a few
seconds.The standby lamp (STANDBY 5) blinks as
longas a button on the front is pressed.

Switching OSD information on/off

Youcan tailor the on-screen display (OSD) of the current mode
(e.g.:playback, record…). to your personal needs.
aPressthe MENUbutton on the remote control. The main
menuwill appear.
bSelectthe line ’SPECIAL SETTINGS’ with the buttons
=Pror ;Pqandconfirm with the SqP
button.

cInthe line ’OSD’, select one of the options shown using

’AUTO’:
TheOSD information appears with every selected mode
fora few seconds and disappears again.

’OFF’:
TheOSD information is switched off. However,you can
usethe button OK todisplay the OSD information on the
screen.
dConfirmwith the OK button.
