General information

DYoucan switch on with STANDBY/ONm, the number
buttons 0-9 orby putting in a cassette.
DIfyou have not used the video recorder for a few
minutes,it will switch to standby automatically. For
moreinformation, please read the section
’Automaticswitch-off’ in chapter ’additional
functions’.
DIfyou have switched the video recorder off with
STANDBY/ONm, the time will show in the display, for
instance, ’18:00’.
Ifthe clock has not been set, ’--:--’ will appear.
DWhenthe video recorder is switched off and the
timeisn’t shown in the video recorder display, the
clockdisplay may be switched off. You will find more
informationin the section ’Saving energy’.
DKeepyour video recorder connected to the mains at
alltimes to ensure that programmed recordings can
bemade and that the television works normally.
Yourvideo recorder uses less than 4 Watts (with
clock-displayswitched off).
DIfthe video recorder is not plugged into the mains, it
willusually store TV channels for one year and timer
anddate information for three hours.

Saving energy

Tosave energy, you can switch off the clock display on the
videorecorder. Programmed (TIMER ) recordings will take
placeeven if the clock display has been switched off.
aSwitchon the TV set. If required, select the programme
numberfor the video recorder.
bPress MENU onthe remote control. The main menu will
appear.
cSelectthe line ’SPECIAL SETTINGS’ with rP=or
;Pqandconfirm with OK .

Emergency interrupt

Youcan use STANDBY/ONmon the video recorder or the
remotecontrol to interrupt any function.
Soif you are having operating problems, you can just interrupt
thefunction and start again.
Andyou can practise operating your set without any worries.
Nomatter which buttons you press, you cannot damage it.
