To use the motion sensor

In Settings > Motion sensor > Mute incoming call or Snooze mode, select On.

If a call rings, turn over the phone (front side to back, or back side to front) to mute the ringtone.

To interrupt the sounding alarm in the same way, check that the Snooze is set to a time interval in Tools > Alarm (see "To set an alarm" on page 30). To stop the alarm, tap on Stop (see "To use an alarm" on page 30).

To use the light sensor

In Settings > Display > Light sensor, select On.

The phone will adjust backlight level automatically according to ambient brightness. For power-saving purposes, always turn on the light sensor.

Power-saving mode

After the set time span, the phone has the idle screen turned off automatically. To exit the power- saving mode, press any key. For power-saving purpose, set the time span to a low value in Settings

>Display > Backlight duration.

Auto keypad lock

In the idle mode, your phone can have the keypad locked automatically after the set time span. When the keypad is locked, a set of concentric circles keep moving on the screen.

To set the auto keypad lock

Go to Settings > General > Auto keypad lock.

To unlock the keypad

Drag out the innermost dot. Or, push up the slide.

To lock the keypad manually

On the idle screen, tap on Shortcut > Phone lock. Or, pull down the slide (if On is selected in Settings

>General > Active slide lock).
