Basic operation
Functions allocated to the following opera- tions are different depending on the con- nected external unit. For details concerning functions, refer to the connected external unit’s owner’s manual.

%Press any of 1 to 6 on the remote con- trol.
Turning the clock display on or off
You can turn the clock display on or off.
!Even when the sources and the feature demo are off, the clock display appears on the display.
%Press CLOCK to turn the clock display on or off.
Each press of CLOCK turns the clock display
on or off.
# The clock display disappears temporarily when you perform other operations, but the clock display appears again after 4 seconds.
Note
In the following conditions, the clock display can- not be turned on or off.
—While displaying three line text information
—While displaying ENT CLOCK (entertainment

!You can also turn Function1 on or off by pressing PGM on the remote control.

!You can also select the function by pressing FUNCTION on the remote control.
!To return to the ordinary display, press BAND.
Switching the display indication and button illumination
Display indication and button illumination can be switched on or off.
%Press and hold DISP OFF.
Pressing and holding DISP OFF switches the display indication and button illumination on or off.
#While the display indication is turned off, CLOCK/DISP OFF button lights up.
#Even if the display indication is turned off, op- eration can be conducted. If operation is con- ducted while the display indication is off, display will light up for a few seconds and then turn off again.
#In the following conditions, the clock display cannot be turned on or off.
