Cuando están terminados los cortes de indicación y de derribo, el árbol debe empezar a caer; bien por sí solo, o con ayuda de la cuña de derribo o de la barra desgajadora.

Recomendamos emplear una longitud de espada mayor que el diámetro del tronco para que los cortes de derribo e indicación se puedan hacer con un “corte sencillo”. Vea las instrucciones del capítulo Datos técnicos en lo referente a las longitudes de espada recomendadas para su modelo de motosierra.

Hay técnicas para la tala de árboles con diámetros de tronco más grandes que la longitud de la espada. Estas técnicas conllevan un riesgo considerable de que el sector de riesgo de reculada de la espada toque un objeto.

Derribo de un árbol ”atascado”

Es muy peligroso retirar un árbol atascado y hay un elevado riesgo de accidente.

No intente nunca cortar árboles talados apoyados sobre otros.

No trabaje nunca dentro de la zona de riesgo de árboles talados atascados y suspendidos.

El método más seguro es utilizar un torno.

Corte de árboles y ramas tensos

Preparativos: Estime el sentido de la tensión y dónde tiene su punto de ruptura (es decir, el punto en el que se rompería si se siguiera tensando).

Determine la forma más segura de soltar la tensión y también, si Ud. puede hacerlo. En situaciones muy complicadas, el único método seguro consiste en utilizar un torno en vez de la motosierra.

Generalidades:

Sitúese de modo que no haya riesgo de que sea alcanzado por el tronco/la rama cuando se suelte.

Haga uno o varios cortes en el punto de ruptura o cerca del mismo. Corte a la profundidad requerida y con el número de cortes necesarios para que la tensión del tronco/la rama se suelte lo suficiente para que el tronco/ la rama se ”parta” en el punto de ruptura.

¡No corte nunca del todo un objeto en tensión!
