Compruebe que el captor de cadena esté intacto y que esté firmemente montado al cuerpo de la motosierra.

Protección de la mano derecha

Compruebe que la protección de la mano derecha esté intacta, sin defectos visibles como, por ejemplo, grietas.

Sistema amortiguador de vibraciones

Compruebe regularmente que los elementos antivibraciones no estén agrietados o deformados.

Compruebe que los elementos antivibraciones estén bien anclados entre la parte del motor y la parte de los mangos, respectivamente.

Botón de parada

Arranque el motor y compruebe que se pare cuando se mueve el botón de parada a la posición de parada.

Silenciador

Nunca utilice una máquina que tenga un silenciador defectuoso.

Compruebe regularmente que el silenciador esté firmemente montado en la máquina.

Algunos silenciadores incorporan una rejilla apagachispas. Si el silenciador de su máquina lleva rejilla apagachispas, límpiela cada semana. Lo mejor es utilizar un cepillo de acero. Una red apagachispas obturada hace que se sobrecaliente el motor, con el riesgo consiguiente de avería grave del motor.

Aclaración! Si la rejilla tiene desperfectos, cámbiela. Con una rejilla obturada, la máquina se sobrecalienta y se averían el cilindro y el pistón. No utilice nunca la máquina si el silenciador está en mal estado. Nunca utilice un silenciador sin una rejilla apagachispas o con una rejilla apagachispas defectuosa.

El silenciador está diseñado para amortiguar el ruido y para apartar del usuario los gases de escape. Los gases de escape están calientes y pueden contener chispas que pueden ocasionar incendios si se dirigen los gases a materiales secos e inflamables.
