Standard Security Features

As office products evolve, security threats like theft, leaking or falsification of electric data have become a major concern. Customers are looking for greater security and protection of data from MFP devices. The Aficio MP C6000 and MP C7500 offer advanced security features like Windows Authentication, LDAP Authentication and Data Overwrite Security (DOS) as standard. These features restrict access to the machine, determine where data can be sent and secure data from misuse.

Simple Secure User Authentication

The Windows / LDAP / Basic authentication feature of the product has been improved to allow for a more straight forward and more user friendly, login process.

On older Aficio products there were 6 steps that a user had to go through in order to authenticate themselves at the MFP. With the new models there are only 4 steps before the user is verified. The new 4 step login process is as follows:

1 User presses the login button

2 User selects the document type and presses login on the LCD screen

3 User enters username and presses OK

4 User then enters password and presses OK
