1. Switch the Mode Selector to 5.
2. Press the SCENE button. The Scene Mode selection screen appears.

Use when capturing text images, for example

 

notes written on a whiteboard at a meeting.

ZOOM MACRO Use when taking a further close-up picture during macro shooting. Using the digital zoom allows you to take a larger close-up than with normal macro shooting. For detailed operations, see P.39.

Note

The optical zoom cannot be used in this mode.

You can shoot close-ups within the following distances from the front of the lens.

When digital zoom is not used:

About 1 cm from the front of the lens

Shooting range: 23 mm × 17 mm

When 3.6× digital zoom is used:

About 1 cm from the front of the lens

Shooting range: 6.4 mm × 4.7 mm
