4Once the handset battery pack is

fully charged, connect the telephone

line cord to the TEL LINEjack and to

a telephone outlet.

Connecting the Charger (for CLT-D5882/CLT-D5883)

1Connect the AC adapter to the

DC IN 9Vjack and to a standard

120V AC wall outlet.

2Set the charger on a desk or

tabletop, and place the handset

in the charger with the keypad

facing forward. (See "B. Install

the rechargeable battery pack

into the handset" on page E5.)

GETTING STARTED

• Charge the handset battery pack for at least 15-20 hours before using your new cordless

telephone for the first time.

Note:

If your telephone outlet isn't modular, contact your telephone

company for assistance.
