10-4 allows you to enjoy quick,two-way,“walkie-talkie-style”
communication with your friends,family,and co-workers. You
can make 1-to-1 or 1-to-many calls (up to 5 others on the same
call)to any other 10-4 user,anywhere on the Network. You can
make and receive 10-4 calls when your phone displays or .
Warning! Please be sure that enabling 10-4 affects the phone’s talk and
standby times to a large degree.

Starting 10-4

Setting 10-4 Mode

䊳Select > Settings> 10-4 > Enable/Disable > Enable orDisable.
(The default setting is Disable.)
䡲Enableto make or receive 10-4 calls any time your phone
is not in use.
䡲Disableto disable your phone’s 10-4 service; you will not
be able to make or receive 10-4 calls or access your 10-4
Contacts entries.

10-4 Call Alerts

There are several ways your phone alerts you during 10-4 calls.
When you make or receive a 10-4 call:
䢇The phone beeps (depending on the Ringer Type).
䢇The backlight illuminates.
䢇The screen displays a 10-4 call message.
䢇The other party’s 10-4 number and name (if available)are
displayed.
䢇The screen displays who has the floor.
The status of a 10-4 call:
䢇The Green LED On indicates you have the floor and may speak.
䢇The Red LED On indicates another contact has the floor.
䢇The LED Off indicates the floor is open. (You can take the
floor and speak by pressing and holding the 10-4 key on the
left side of your phone .)
