Settings
The settings allow you to turn the Assisted GPS chipset in the
cell phone to “Allow”or “Deny.”Setting location to On lets the
network detect the cell phone’s geographic location using
Assisted GPS,making some features easier to use. Setting
location to Offdisables Assisted GPS, but some features may still
detect the cell phone’s whereabouts using cell tower
technology.Assisted GPS is automatically set to Onwhen an
emergency call is placed,then set back to Off when the call is
completed.
To set the Location Menu to ALLOW or DENY:
1. Select > Settings > Location.
2. Read the disclaimer and press (left softkey).
3. SelectOn or Off.
Tip:When the Location feature is on, your phone’s standby screen will
display the icon. When Location is turned off, the icon will be
displayed.
