Special papers including transparency film, postcards and envelopes must be fed through the bypass tray.

1 Place the original in the document feeder tray (when a reversing automatic document feeder is installed) or on the document glass. (page 4-6)

2 Load the special paper in the bypass tray.

See pages 2-6and 2-9for the specifications of paper that can be used in the bypass tray.

NOTES

Output location for copies on heavy paper 2, transparencies, and envelopes

Copies on these types of paper will be output face- up to the tray on the left side of the machine. They cannot be delivered to the center tray. Face- down delivery is not possible for these papers.

When copying from the document glass in the sort mode using the

[BLACK COPY START ( )] key, touch the [READ-END] key after all originals have been scanned. (step 7 on page 5-8)
