Before using the USB memory device
Caution:
●Do not remove the USB memory device or unplug the AC power lead while the operations for “USB Memory Management” or “Software Update Settings (Manual Update from USB memory device)” are being performed.
●Do not use a USB extension cable when connecting a USB memory device to the USB1 terminal.
–Using a USB extension cable may prevent the unit from performing correctly.
Notes:
●SHARP cannot guarantee that all brands’ USB memory devices will operate with this unit.
●Only USB memory devices formatted with FAT 32/16 are compatible.
When formatting a USB memory device using a PC, perform the following settings.
Format File System: FAT32

■Software Update Settings
In this unit, the software version can be updated using either one of the following methods.
●Auto Update from Network
●Manual Update from Network
●Manual Update from USB memory device
Auto Update from Network
This function allows you to perform the update by accessing an Internet connection automatically to check if there is a new firmware version every time the unit is turned on.
When using this function, it is required to perform the following settings in advance.
Notes:
●Make sure that the LAN cable is connected to this unit.
●Make sure to perform the communication settings. (See pages 29
●It may take time to access and download the update depending on the Internet connection and other factors.
Caution:
●Do not remove the LAN cable or unplug the AC power lead while downloading or updating software.
When you insert or remove a USB memory device, be sure to turn the main power off and make sure that “Quick Start” is set to “No” (See page 28).
